The Honda Civic has always been one of the most popular and reliable models in the Honda lineup. Because of that Honda fans are very sensitive to any changes made to the Civic.

The latest Honda Civic caught a little flack, mainly due to peoples' resistance to change, but even so Honda took the constructive criticism seriously.  

Honda went to work on the 2013 Civic, determined to make it the best Civic model yet. They may have been successful because the automaker is so excited about the new car they are predicting that sales will increase 24% in 2013.

"Building a good car isn't enough for us, we have to build a great car," John Mendel, Honda's executive vice president of sales in the US, said. "We think we can do better and the customer expects that and we will."¹  

Some of the great features being built into the new Civic include better interior quality and noise reduction to help the comfort level of the driver.

Honda set a US sales target increase of 1.25 million next year, up from about 1 million this year.
