Meet the New 2013 Honda Accord

Starting off the year right, Honda debuted the 2012 version of one of their most classic and popular models, the Honda Accord. The 2013 Accord was shown at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

It was a defining moment for Honda as this year brought three natural disasters which disrupted production all over the world.

Speaking at the Detroit show, John Mendel, Honda America's Executive VP even went so far as to say, "We're here to serve notice to the competion that Honda is again firing on all four cylinders."1... He went on to boast, "The new, ninth-generation Accord will raise the bar again."2

If you're wondering what's so different about the 2012 Honda Accord we would be delighted to fill you in.

As seen at the Auto Show, the 2012 Honda Accord Coupe concept revealed a sporty body, honeycomb grille, and lower fog lights accented by crystallized chrome inlays. To finish out the styled exterior, 20-inch, five spoke wheels, a rear spoiler and exhaust system really make the coupe noticeable.

Turning to the sedan variant, we can see Honda has also significantly decreased the wheelbase. While this really doesn't do much to the car's overall aesthetics, it does a tremendous amount in terms of reducing overall body weight.

Safety is also very accounted for. A Lane Departure Warning System and a Forward Crash Warning system will both be available. The Accord hasn't been through the rigorous safety testing yet, but as with all Honda cars, we fully expect it to achieve high safety ratings.

The 2013 Honda Accord is not in stock yet, but will be soon. To learn more about the 2013 Accord or any current model Honda car, come down to Honda Gallery, on 88-98 Walkers Brooke Dr., Reading, MA 01867.
